Who is the brother-in-law of Martinaj who led the international drug traffic /
Ervis Martinaj

Ervis Martinaj's brother-in-law, Arben Kaçorri, has been arrested in Portugal for international cocaine trafficking.

The Portuguese media consider Kaçorri as a "very dangerous" person.

According to them, he lived a sober and luxurious life in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. He lived in a luxury building, where his Portuguese-Brazilian associate, Icaro Leddy Gouveia, also lived.

The brother-in-law of Ervis Martinaj, the "king of gambling", who has been missing since August 2022, has a long connection with criminal organizations.

He and his brother, Valentino, are mentioned as members of the Balkan mafia.

In May 2009, Arben Kaçorri was sentenced in Italy to 21 years and 8 months in prison for the murder of his compatriot Fatmir Kala, in Florence, as well as for carrying weapons without a permit. The sentence became irrevocable in October 2010 after his appeal was rejected. However, the Italian authorities were never able to locate Kaçorri so that he could serve his sentence.

The Albanian also received a pardon for 3 years, but he must serve 18 years and eight months in prison for that crime. Italy may request his extradition from the Portuguese state.

After this sentence, 15 assets of Kaçorri were confiscated in December last year, at the request of SPAK. Commercial buildings, apartments, land and garages were confiscated from him, all in Tirana and its surroundings.

Kaçorri led, together with Icaro Leddy Gouveia, the international cocaine traffic, which had as its epicenter the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, in Belgium.

Now, both are in the Monsanto high security prison, in Lisbon, where they await the development of investigations./ CNA
