The Tirana police have arrested the 36-year-old man with the initials EG, who is accused by the Spanish authorities of violent theft.

Police Notification: 

The police operation coded "Wanted 2" is being finalized by the Tirana Traffic Police Station and the Section for the Investigation of Serious Property Crimes at the Tirana DVP.

A 36-year-old man, accused by the Spanish authorities of violent theft, was caught in Tirana and arrested with the intention of extradition to Spain.

The services of the Traffic Police Commissariat and those of the Section for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against Property in DVP Tirana, following the work for the capture of citizens announced as international wanted, based on informational intelligence on the location of a wanted citizen, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Wanted 2".

During the operation, the services of the Road Police have caught the citizen EG, 36 years old, on the Vorë-Fushë Krujë road axis, who was arrested for the purpose of extradition to Spain.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Provincial Court of Gerona, Spain, has sentenced him to 3 years, 4 months and 12 days of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Theft with violence", provided by the Criminal Code of Spain.

Proceedings continue for the extradition of this citizen to Spain./ CNA
