Another drug smuggling case is cracked

Another case of drug smuggling has been reported in Korça. It is known that the BM citizen was put in handcuffs while her wife and father were put under investigation.

The 39-year-old had smuggled 1,637 boxes of medicines from Greece to sell in the pharmacy he managed as a family business where the 39-year-old's wife worked as a pharmacist.

The pharmacist's father was found in his apartment with medicine boxes and 83 cigarette packs, also without tax stamps.

The police seized the goods.

We remind you that earlier CNA treated as an issue the smuggling of goods and the damage they cause to citizens by selling products that are not safe.

"As a result of the quick administration of police intelligence, that in a pharmacy in Bilisht, drugs smuggled from Greece were sold, the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes finalized the police operation coded "Relations", in the framework of which he was arrested in citizen BM, 39 years old, and his wife and father-in-law, citizens RZ, 36 years old and NZ, 64 years old, all three residents of Bilisht, were prosecuted in flagrante delicto.

From the investigations so far, it is suspected that the BM citizen smuggled medicines from Greece, to sell them in the family business, the pharmacy where his wife worked. From the checks in the residence of the NZ citizen, in addition to 1,637 boxes of medicine, without a tax stamp, 83 stacks of cigarette packs were found, which are suspected to be smuggled, because they were also not equipped with a tax stamp.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions", the police informs. / CNA
