Journalist, Rudina Dervishi loses her battle with breast cancer/ Passes away at the age of 53

Rudina Dervishi, the well-known journalist and host of the Voice of America "Diary" television show, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 53.

Dervish has been in a two-year battle with breast cancer.

For more than 25 years, Rudina made a valuable contribution with her professionalism as a passionate journalist, covering diverse topics from economics, politics, human and women's rights, to art.

Her premature departure is a great loss for her family and for her colleagues at the Albanian Voice of America Service and for the entire media, for her professionalism.

She left behind her husband, three sons and her mother.
