The race for the new head of the State Police, 11 candidates in the interview

Since 09:00 a.m. hearings have started with the 11 candidates for the position of General Director of the State Police.

The special commission composed of the deputy minister of the interior, the general secretary of the State Police and the head of the AMP, after the end of the hearings, will evaluate the candidates with points.

The process is also being monitored by internationals, the US ICITAP police assistance mission and EU4LAW.

After the end of the hearing, the candidates with the most points will be proposed to Prime Minister Edi Rama by the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha. He announced that by the end of the week there will be a concrete name for the General Director.

4 candidates have been disqualified from the race, Sami Rasha, Shemsi Prençi, Ibrahim Disha and Hajrulla Xhivini.

The other 11 continue the race, Adriatik Tafçiu, Altin Mena, Ardian Çipa, Gentjan Shehaj, Idajet Faskaj, Ilir Proda, Lutfi Minxhozi, Neritan Nallbati, Pëllumb Seferi, Reban Jaupi and Skënder Hita./ CNA
