Shocking details have come to light from the serious incident in Shkodër, where the mother and three children allegedly committed suicide.

The police have handcuffed 31-year-old EA, the children's father, who is suspected of abusing them.

The police suspect that the minor girl, 9 years old, committed suicide, while the search for the bodies of the mother and two children continues.

"In-depth investigations revealed a case of domestic violence that caused suicide.

The 31-year-old man was arrested for violence against his wife and 3 children, as well as for causing the suicide of his 9-year-old daughter as a result of the violence.

The 9-year-old girl was found dead, suspected to have drowned herself in the Buna river.

RENEA detectives are continuing their search as it is suspected that the wife and 2 other children of the 31-year-old man also committed suicide.

Immediately after the report of citizen EA, 31 years old, made on 03.05.2024, that on 02.05.2024, his wife, citizen AA, 39 years old, and their 3 minor children (9, 8 and 3 years old), a special investigation group was set up to investigate the causes of leaving the apartment.

Based on the investigations carried out and police intelligence, it is suspected that the reason for leaving the apartment was the violence exercised by the 31-year-old, towards his wife and children, who are suspected to have committed suicide.

On 04.05.2024, citizen EA, 31 years old (previously convicted of cultivation of narcotic plants), was arrested for the criminal offense of "causing suicide".

The investigative group continued the investigations and the Police services continued the checks to find the 39-year-old woman and 3 children.

During the checks, around 22:00 on 04.05.2024, in the waters of the Buna River, in the village of Darragjat, the dead body of a 9-year-old girl of EA and AA citizens was found, who is suspected to have committed suicide as a result of violence from her father.
