A 78-year-old Albanian man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by the Court of Thessaloniki, after being accused of committing obscene acts in front of his minor grandchildren.

The case of the Albanian went to court in May 2020, after an investigation by the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of Thessaloniki of ELAS, which was prompted by a denunciation in the "Children's Smile" organization. 

Dy gra të cilat kishin dalë për shëtitje në zonën e Neapolisit u ankuan se panë të moshuarin duke kryer veprime të turpshme ndaj një të miture, e cila rezultoi se ishte mbesa e tij 9-vjeçare. Si motra e saj binjake dhe dy motrat e saj më të mëdha (në atë kohë 12 dhe 16 vjeç) pësuan sjellje të ngjashme.

I pandehuri me origjinë shqiptare , baba i 9 fëmijëve (nga të cilët kishte 21 nipër e mbesa), u arrestua në atë kohë dhe pas rrëfimit të tij në hetuesi, shkoi në burg. 

Megjithatë, ai u lirua me kusht. 78-vjeçari nuk mori pjesë në gjyq dhe u përfaqësua nga një avokat.

Mbrojtja e tij mohoi akuzat, duke e përshkruar 78-vjeçarin si një person veçanërisht të qetë dhe të ngadalshëm.
