10,000 euros in goods smuggling/ 38-year-old man arrested in Kukës, two

Kukes police arrested the 38-year-old man with the initials YK for smuggling goods and illegally crossing the state border. The 38-year-old man was arrested in the village of Dobrunë, after he was caught transporting suspected smuggled goods, worth about 10,000 euros. 

The investigation showed that the driver of the vehicle and the 2 passengers, RB, 36 years old and B. Gj, 35 years old, had crossed the green border illegally.

Police notification:

Two other Kosovar citizens, passengers in this vehicle, who had crossed the border illegally, together with the driver of the vehicle, are being processed at large.
The smuggled goods (duralumin windows and glass) and pickup trucks are seized.
-Another citizen is on the loose, after he was caught transporting some suspected smuggled cattle.
Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes, following the work for the prevention, identification and suppression of criminal activities in the field of goods smuggling, as a result of the immediate administration of the information provided by the information intelligence, organized and finalized the operation coded police "Green border".
As a result of this operation, the citizen YK, 38 years old, resident in Kosovo, was arrested for the criminal offenses of "Smuggling with other goods" and "Illegal crossing of the state border", as well as the procedure started for the citizens in a state of freedom RB, 36 years old, and B. Gj., 35 years old, resident in Kosovo, for the criminal offense "Illegal border crossing".

In the village of Dobrune, Has, the Police services have stopped the vehicle (truck) with driver citizen YK and passengers citizens RB and B. Gj. During the inspection, goods (duralumin windows and glass) worth about 10,000 euros were found in this vehicle, which are suspected to have been smuggled from Kosovo to Albania.
From the verifications carried out, it turned out that the driver of the vehicle and the 2 passengers had crossed the green border, illegally.
The goods were seized as material evidence, together with the vehicle.
-Also, as part of this operation, the materials were returned to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings started in a free state for the citizen AH, 38 years old, resident of Kukës, for the criminal offense of "Smuggling with other goods", after he was caught in the act, at the entrance of the city of Kukës, transporting by vehicle, some cattle, which are suspected to have been smuggled through the green border.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Kukës, for further actions./ CNA
