Zelensky: The situation in Bahmut is getting worse

The situation in the city of Bakhmut, in the east of Ukraine, is becoming "more and more difficult", said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Russian forces have been trying to take this city for six months.

"The enemy is constantly destroying everything that can be used to defend our positions," Zelensky said.

Some of the fiercest fighting in Ukraine since Russia launched the war a year ago is taking place in the town of Bakhmut.

This city is located in the Ukrainian region of Donetsk, which is under the control of Russia and its separatist allies.
