The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that he asked the political representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo to maintain peace and stability.

Vucic met with Serbian representatives on the morning of November 22, after Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti postponed the implementation of the second phase of the decision on illegal Serbian license plates for 48 hours.

He said in a video post on his Instagram account that "we respond to the arrogance of others as decent people."

The second phase foresees the imposition of fines of 150 euros for citizens who drive around with such license plates.

The request for a 48-hour postponement was made by the United States.

Para shtyrjes së vendimit, Policia e Kosovës pati planifikuar që vendimin për gjobat ta zbatonte nga mëngjesi i 22 nëntorit.

Yesterday's meeting between Kurti and Vucic in Brussels resulted in no agreement on the license plate issue.

The negotiation process is expected to end with legally binding agreements.

Although Kosovo declares that this agreement should include mutual recognition, Serbia does not accept, insisting on a "compromise solution"./ CNA.al
