US President Donald Trump said he had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about resolving the war in Ukraine.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump did not provide details on when the talks with each leader took place.
"We are working to resolve the situation in Russia and Ukraine and we hope that we will achieve this. I have spoken with Putin and with President Zelensky and we have had good conversations. The hatred between President Putin and President Zelensky is ridiculous. It is madness. And hatred is a bad thing. Hate is a bad thing when you are trying to fix something, but it will happen ," he said.
Trump has pledged to end the war that began with Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, but more than a year after taking office, the conflict and fighting still continue. /CNA
