Turkey prohibits the administration from using foreign-made vehicles

Turkey has banned the administration from using foreign-made vehicles.

According to the public savings package, presented by the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Shimsek, the administration cannot use foreign vehicles, except those permitted by law.

According to Turkish media, the administration can only use vehicles "Made in Turkey", TOGG.

Also, the minister said that the number of public vehicles will be reduced and the transport services of the administration will be removed in areas where public transport is available.

"We are banning the purchase and leasing of new vehicles in the public sector for 3 years. The use of foreign-made vehicles, except those permitted by law, will be prohibited.

Also, the renewal of existing rental vehicle contracts will be subject. Vehicles that have excess requirements and have completed their economic "life" will be liquidated with the service of personnel in the public sector, except for defense and security," emphasized Shimsek./ CNA
