After the shooting of a gunman at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was no lack of a reaction from former President Donald Trump himself. 

The latter thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their work.

"Most importantly, I want to express my condolences to the family of the person who was killed, as well as to the family of another person who was seriously injured. It is unbelievable that such an act could happen in our country." Trump said. 

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump's campaign officials announced in a statement that he was in good health, having only received ear injuries. 

"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their swift action during this heinous act," spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement.

"He is fine and is being checked at a local medical facility. More details will be given in the future", he said further. 

Meanwhile, a supporter of the former president lost his life from gunfire and two others were seriously injured. 20-year-old author Matthew Crooks was executed by security forces./ CNA
