Tragedy in the Flanders region of Belgium. A 33-year-old man killed his 28-year-old pregnant wife and five-year-old child in Thurmont.

The man appeared at the police station at 6.30 am on Saturday confessing his act, reports the rtl network. The authorities who went to the scene found two bodies in one of the rooms of the house, while a doctor was also found there.

"We cannot yet talk about the causes of death. We can say that this is a pregnant woman and her five-year-old child," said Deputy Prosecutor Bernadette Bayens.

At the same time, the head of the area's police emphasized that no details will be given until the end of the investigation. The author underwent blood tests to determine whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The couple was married and had been living together for 6 months. According to witnesses, there was no tension between the two spouses. /CNA.al
