Tragjedi në Kanalin Anglez/ Mbyten 5 emigrantë të jashtëligjshëm

Pesë persona, përfshirë një fëmijë, janë mbytur teksa përpiqeshin të kalonin Kanalin Anglez, me një varkë të vogël, njofton policia franceze. 

Sekretari i Brendshëm, James Cleverly, u shpreh në një postim në rrjetet sociale se tragjeditë me emigrantët duhet të përfundojnë.

"Kjo qeveri po bën gjithçka që mundet për t'i dhënë fund kësaj tregtie, për të ndaluar anijet dhe përfundimisht për të thyer modelin e biznesit të bandave të këqija të kontrabandës, kështu që ata të mos vënë më jetë në rrezik", shtoi ai.

Ish-ministri i Emigracionit, Robert Jenrick, ka reaguar gjithashtu në rrjetin social "X", duke e përshkruar incidentin e mëngjesit të sotëm si "një tjetër tragjedi" dhe i bëri thirrje BE-së "t'u japë shteteve anëtare mbulim ligjor për të kapur këto anije të padepërtueshme që po kushtojnë jetë të çmuara".

Kjo vjen pasi parlamenti i Mbretërisë së Bashkuar miratoi projektligjin kryesor për Ruandën, pas disa muajsh grindjeje.

Qeveria thotë se projektligji, i cili synon të dërgojë emigrantët që vijnë me varka të vogla në Ruandë, do të pengojë emigrimin e jashtëligjshëm./CNA
