The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo said on Friday that it has filed charges against a member of the Serbian community, under suspicion of "war crimes against the civilian population".

In the announcement of the prosecution, it is stated that the accused, whom she identified with the initials Ç.J, of Serbian nationality with residence in Serbia, "during the time of the war in Kosovo, from January 1998 to June 21, 1999 , in the territory of the municipality of Istog, in collusion with other persons, violating the rules of international law, has applied torture measures against civilian persons, victims of ZM, NF and NC".

I akuzuari ndodhet në paraburgim që nga muaji qershor i këtij viti kur ishte arrestuar nga policia e Kosovës në fshatin Gurrakoc të komunës së Istogut, rreth 70 kilometra në perëndim të Prishtinës.

Zyrtarët serbë thanë në qershor se i arrestuari është 54 vjeçari, Çaslav Joliç, serb nga qyteti i Istogut që jeton në Serbi. Zyra për Kosovën në qeverinë e Serbisë dënoi siç tha “praktikat e gjyqësorit në Prishtinë për të ngritur aktakuza të fshehta kundër serbëve nga Kosova, me dëshmitarë të paqëndrueshëm dhe për t’i dekurajuar ata që të kthehen në shtëpitë e tyre apo të kërkojnë të drejtat e tyre ligjore”.
