Europol ka zhvilluar së fundmi një aksion të mbështetur nga Spanja që synonte trafikimin e drogës nëpërmjet aeroporteve, e cila u fokusua në kontrollet e trafikut të pasagjerëve dhe ngarkesave si në fluturimet direkte ashtu edhe ato lidhëse, kryesisht nga Amerika.
Aksioni u zhvillua në 61 aeroporte midis 11 dhe 18 dhjetor 2023, përfshiu gjithashtu Frontex, INTERPOL përmes projektit AIRCOP.
Kontrollet kishin për qëllim zbulimin e posedimit ose trafikut të drogës, veçanërisht kokainës, me origjinë nga Amerika Latine.
Arrestimet dhe konfiskimet gjatë operacionit:

-356 464 kg kanabis
-354 209 kg kokainë
-37 kg drogë sintetike
-101 559 kg barna të tjera./CNA
