Brussels sets the date for Kurti's meeting with Vucic/ Government spokesman

The meeting between the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vu?i?, is expected to be held in the third week of August, according to the spokesperson of the Government, Përparim Kryeziu.

The meeting that was planned to be held a month ago, has been postponed at the request of Vucic, while Kryeziu says that they are in contact with Brussels and that the Kosovar side has expressed readiness for this meeting.

"As you know, the meeting planned for July 19 failed because official Belgrade refused to take place, demanding that such a meeting be postponed for more than a month. Prime Minister Kurti has repeatedly expressed his readiness for the upcoming well-prepared meeting. We are in constant communication with the European Union and if there will be another meeting, it is expected to take place in the third week of this month", Kryeziu told Koha.net

Meanwhile, Serbian media reports that the meeting will be held on August 18 in Brussels.

Vucic said that he does not expect anything from this meeting with Kurti. On the other hand, Kurti said on Monday that Vucic had probably postponed the July meeting to prepare for rising tensions in the north. /CNA.al
