Australia/ A citizen terrorizes Sydney with a gun, 14 people injured

Sydney police have stated that they continue to hold in custody the 60-year-old man who fired over 50 bullets at cars driving on the street, in a very populated neighborhood of the city, seriously injuring one person.

The interrogation is expected to take place today, to discover the motive that forced the perpetrator to carry out this attack, something very unusual in Australia.

The incident happened yesterday evening in the suburb of Croydon Park in Sydney, as the suspect began firing his gun at vehicles passing by. Police then entered the building, stopping the attack and neutralizing the perpetrator.

"It's incredible that no one died ," Stephen Parry, acting superintendent of New South Wales Police, said at a press conference.

It is reported that one of the victims of the attack was hit in the neck and chest and was immediately sent to enter surgery as he was in a very critical condition. Emergency services state that 14 others were injured and received medical assistance at the scene.
