Consumption of fuel, coffee, cigarettes increases/ Customs collects 45 million

The domestic economy has recorded an increase in consumption in the 10 months of this year, positively influenced by tourism.

Data from Customs show an increase in imports of fuel, cigarettes, beer and coffee.

Excise revenues during the January-October period of this year reached a total of 48 billion ALL, or 4.5 billion ALL more compared to the 10-month period of the previous year.

The performance of excise revenue has been positive despite the devaluation of the dollar and the euro against the lek, as it has been supported by the increase in the amount of consumption by 31,608 tons more than the 10-month period of the previous year.

Also, other excise items have a very good revenue performance, compared to the 10th month of 2023.

Specifically, cigarettes realized 1.7 million ALL more income, gas 154 million ALL more, while other goods 228 million ALL more than the same period of the previous year.

The consumption of excise goods has also increased, specifically cigarettes 55 tons more, fuel 31,608 tons more, beer 6,984 tons more and coffee 249 tons more, thus reaching the highest historical levels.
