Budget 2026/ Malaj: Budget revenues for 2026 will increase by 530 million euros

Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, presented the draft law for the 2026 budget at the Conference of Mayors.

Malaj stated that in 2026 the path of financial consolidation will continue.

Focusing on budget revenues, Malaj stated that for 2026 there will be 530 million euros more, which will reach 823 billion lek.

The minister further said that the planned expenditures for 2026 will reach 886.7 billion lek. Malaj stated that 89.8 billion lek will be spent on education in 2026.

" Public finances remain the main pillar of stability. Public debt decreased to 54.2% of GDP."

And in 2026 we will continue the path of financial consolidation. Albania is financing development without jeopardizing stability. Budget revenues for 2026, 823 billion lek or 26% of GDP, 530 million euros more.

"Planned spending for 2026 will reach 886.7 billion lek. Education 89.8 billion lek, growth 3.4 billion lek ," said Malaj./ CNA
