The draft budget for 2026, among other things, has made a forecast of local budget expenditures.
According to forecasts, these expenditures amount to 97.7 billion lek, an increase of 9% over the current year's budget.
Meanwhile, the budget expenditures of the country's municipalities will account for 3.52% of GDP, while for 2025 they accounted for 3.4% of the budget.
The unconditional transfer for 2026, compared to 2025, is 1.6 billion lek more, or about 6% higher, and compared to 2015 (the year before the implementation of the administrative-territorial reform), it is 15.5 billion lek more, or over twice as high./ CNA
