All those citizens who have worked in the former cooperatives and enterprises, but do not have it documented, will no longer need to knock on the doors of the courts in order to recognize the years of work.

Although attempts have been made over the years through legal initiatives, it is the Ministry of Economy that is currently dealing with it. The draft law, published in public consultations, aims to recognize working years from the age of 18 until October 1993 for state enterprises, October 1992 for agricultural enterprises and July 1991 for cooperatives. Making a male employee miss up to 14-16 years of work, while women from 11-13 years.

"The approval of this draft law would enable the recognition of insurance periods without procedural obstacles, as happens when the documentation that reflects the seniority period at work presents deficiencies that make it impossible to recognize it administratively, without expenses for the beneficiaries and above all it will to enable the benefit of a pension, at least as much as the social pension measure."

In many cases, the registers of these enterprise cooperatives have been submitted incompletely or not at all. Some of these registers were also destroyed during the 1997 riots.

There is a certain procedure before the recognition of contributions is called for the required years. The person who wants to know the years of work that do not appear in the register must first prove that, for the given period, he was a resident of a territory where he had a cooperative or enterprise. Also, he must not have been in prison or received a full disability pension.

While the false declaration of the time of employment at the former agricultural cooperatives by the applicants constitutes a criminal offense and is punished according to the legislation in force.
