Patient in critical condition from allergic injection, beautician: She fell on

A citizen reported on the show "Stop" that during an aesthetic treatment at the "La Luna" clinic in Tirana, with dentist Tea Loka, for nasolabial filler and dermapen, she suffered a serious reaction. The patient said that during the application of lidocaine with adrenaline, which was given to her without informing her, she lost consciousness. The incident occurred on September 29.

The ambulance was called late and left for several hours at the QSUT, where treatment began only after the family's intervention by doctor Eulgert Karriqi, who determined the condition of the lipothemine from lidocaine.

"A friend of mine recommended it to me and said it was very good and I went. I was going to do nasolabial folds, I did it the first time and it made a mistake, I went and melted it. Then I was going to do it a second time, what happened to me was because she applied lidocaine with adrenaline, without my consent. I know that the doctor has graduated from dentistry and nothing more. No medical records were opened for me, I was not asked if I was allergic to anything and I was not told what would be done to me. Because the first time I went, they only put numbing cream on me and I thought it would be the same. I was going to do dermapen and filler, they put numbing cream on me and I felt two stings. On the second sting, it burned me and I asked her what she put on me, she said lidocaine with adrenaline, I rubbed my eyes and told her that I was allergic to it. Allergy is something serious. I don't remember anything there because I fainted, until the moment I "They woke up," said the complainant.

In a later meeting with Tea Loka, the dentist admitted the lack of a protocol for asking questions and informing the patient, taking responsibility for not opening the chart and not asking about allergies.

The patient expresses concern about the delay in receiving emergency care and calling an ambulance.

"I told her I can't breathe, please call the ambulance, this was neglected and absolutely not done. But she was on the phone with a doctor, explaining the problem to her. I asked for an ambulance for a long time, while I was vomiting, I couldn't breathe, my face was black and I was in a fainting state. Then they called the ambulance and told her that we have a patient who has fallen on her head. I couldn't tell the ambulance guy that they gave me lidocaine with adrenaline. They took me to the hospital, I remember that Tea from the clinic also came and from 14:30 to 16:00 no one touched me with their hands, they only gave me serum even though I was in serious condition. Because Tea told the doctor that she only had panic and anxiety, she didn't tell her anything more. A relative of mine came, who had come to the hospital, was looking for me, but she couldn't find me because my face was black and "He found me after an hour and a half. Then I told him to call a doctor because I was injected with lidocaine with adrenaline and then I was given first aid by a doctor who attended to me from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM," adds the complainant.

Tea Loka explained that she tried to manage the situation herself, also mentioning emergency physician Evisa Deçe, who it turns out is not licensed by the Order of Physicians.

Tea Loka- Hello, my dear, how are you?

Citizen – First, I'm not well. Second, that day, when they gave me Lidocaine...

Tea Loka – Yes!

Citizen – ..with Adrenaline, you didn't open a card for me.

Tea Loka – Yes! It's true. Simply because we came like this, you know? We get distracted with chatter, with things. It's my fault. For this part, definitely, it's my fault and I should have opened it and preferably signed it.

Citizen - Second: You didn't even ask me if I was allergic to anything, did you?

Tea Loka – Yes! I didn't ask you.

Citizen – I told you I'm allergic to this.

Tea Loka – Yes!

Citizen – At the moment. that you see. that there is a blackout and someone two minutes ago said. that I am allergic…

Tea Loka – Huh, huh…

Citizen – The first thing to do, I think, is to call an ambulance.

Citizen 1 – Excuse me, Lidocaine with Adrenaline, are both allowed to be used together?

Tea Loka – Yes, why is Lidocaine? Lidocaine without Adrenaline doesn't seem to numb you that well, and I just put two drops in, because that's how the procedure is done, so that she doesn't feel it, because it's a pretty strong pain.

Citizen – When was the ambulance taken? I don't know who took it, it was said that he hit his head.

Tea Loka – If I were talking to the doctor and explaining to her, because she is an emergency doctor. She is a doctor who works and deals with endless cases and other things and I always support her, because she is the person who trained me, trained me initially and knows how to solve these cases best. Listen! The reason we weren't taking her from the beginning was simply that we could manage it and you didn't need to go to the hospital.

Citizen – Excuse me, it's that doctor, that blonde emergency doctor, who...

Tea Loka – No! No! No! It's Evisa Deçe.

Citizen 2 – Excuse me, are you a dermatologist?

Tea Loka – What does it have to do with dermatologists?

Citizen 2 – I'm asking you!

Tea Loka – No! I graduated from dentistry. Which means I know the nerves and everything about the face better than anyone.

Tea Loka – Also used on the face, dear.

The QSUT confirms that the patient's file was opened on September 29 and the treatment was attended by doctor Eulgert Karriqi, while the period 14:30-16:00 remained without documented information./tvklan.al
