The fire in the Elbasan incinerator/ Reagon Kushi

The Minister of Education and Sports, at the same time the deputy of the SP in Elbasan, Evis Kushi, has reacted in relation to the fire that involved the waste collection point in the incinerator of Elbasan.

Through a post on social networks, Kushi has thanked the firefighting forces that fought the flames with maximum responsibility and dedication at such a difficult moment.

Among other things, she thanked all the volunteers and residents of the areas who helped in the timely notification of the firefighting teams and engaged together with the specialized teams to normalize the situation.

"I have been following with concern and anxiety since yesterday the developments related to the fire in the landfill near the waste processing plant in Elbasan. After a few hours of maximum commitment by the Elbasan Municipality, the Emergency Team and the Public Services Agency, thanks to the support from the surrounding municipalities, Tirana, Gramsh, Durrës, Fier, Cërrik, Belsh and Peqin, as well as the specialized forces of the Army, the fire was extinguished under control and is now completely turned off. Many thanks to all those employees who fought the flames with maximum responsibility and dedication at such a difficult moment, and especially thanks to all the volunteers and residents of the areas who helped not only to notify the fire brigades in time but also were engaged together with the specialized teams for the normalization of the situation",CNA
