The Special Prosecution Office has reacted to the statement of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who requested that political parties not be monitored during the elections. It has published the “Strategy for the Investigation and Prevention of Electoral Crime: 2025 Parliamentary Elections”.

This announcement came after a meeting with the Central Election Commission (CEC), where the main points of this strategy were discussed, including cooperation in investigations and combating the phenomena of electoral crimes.

Milestones of SPAK's strategy:

-Field verification of indications or facts regarding the commission of criminal offenses in the context of the 2025 Assembly elections, under the jurisdiction of the Special Prosecution Office.

-Verifying reports that raise reasonable suspicions about the misuse of the budget and public investments during the election period by special entities.

-Monitoring the media and social networks for possible indications of the commission of criminal offenses in the context of the elections.

-Inter-institutional cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office, the Central Election Commission, the State Police, international organizations, civil society organizations that monitor electoral processes, etc.
