"Arrest with imprisonment" for 236 people/ SPAK publishes the report

The Special Prosecution Office has published its report for 2024. The SPAK report states that during the past year it investigated 629 people, of whom 236 or 37.5 percent were under the measure "Arrest with imprisonment".

The Prosecution has reported that, according to the Prisons Directorate, the total number of persons in detention is 2,791 for the year 2024.

During 2024, the Special Prosecution Office conducted investigations against 629 persons.  Of these, only 236 persons or 37.5% were investigated under the security measure "prison arrest", provided for by Article 238 of the Criminal Procedure Code.  246 persons or 39.1% were investigated at liberty.  147 persons or 23.4% were investigated with other security measures.

Detainee Report:  According to the General Directorate of Prisons, the total number of persons in detention is 2791 for the year 2024.  Of the total of 2791, the number of persons in detention investigated by SPAK is 270 persons or 9.7% . CNA
