Veliaj asked to be heard by the Municipal Council/Gjikondi: Show as always, the

Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi spoke on a television appearance about the request made by Erion Veliaj to be heard by the Municipal Council. A request which Gjikondi called a show and stated that the law does not allow it.

The lawyer stated that Veliaj has personal problems with Rama and the party. Gjikondi further said that if Veliaj wants to be heard, he can do so through a status on social networks or through a letter through lawyers and have it read in the Council.

Regarding Veliaj's dismissal from the mayor's office, the lawyer stated that he should have resigned from the moment he appeared before SPAK.

Focusing on taking the case to Strasbourg, Gjikondi said that Veliaj cannot do it because there is nothing wrong with Albanian laws.

" Veliaj has put on a show as always. If he wants to go to the Municipal Council, the law does not allow it. Permissions are only granted for personal reasons, birth, death, marriage and if he wants to take an exam. We also know the case of Beleri who wanted to take the oath, and could not. It is unfortunate that a kind of tension is arising from him. Veliaj has personal problems with Rama and the Socialist Party. If Veliaj really wants his word to be heard, he can make a status on Facebook, as he has always done, or let him send a letter to his lawyers and have them read it to the council. Veliaj should have resigned the first day he appeared at SPAK. There is no need to put pressure on him, where he was supported by bread. Veliaj should look at this issue politically. We are always in the context of a pressure that does not leave a good taste. His dismissal is an irreversible fact. In the letter he says that he will go to the Constitutional Court and to Strasbourg, and he cannot do it because there is nothing wrong with Albanian laws. He cannot hold hostage all decision-making and the Municipality of Tirana. Veliaj has been given great tolerance, the municipality cannot be held hostage anymore ," said Gjikondi./CNA
