During the last few hours, 4 fires have been identified, of which only one has been extinguished and 3 remain active.

The Ministry of Defense announces that these are currently active hotbeds:

- On the mountain above the village of Dhivër, Finiq municipality, a fire continues in a forest area at altitude, where 8 fire engines and about 82 operational forces have been engaged, which this morning were joined by 3 fire engines and 13 personnel from BMEC, as well as air support.

- In area F of the former Poliçan Mechanical Plant, where the firefighting services of the MZSH of the Poliçan municipality, Berat and Skrapar, assisted by 2 firefighting vehicles of the military forces of the Albanian Armed Forces, are engaged on the ground. The fire is currently completely neutralized.

- In the village of Lofkënd, Mallakastër municipality, where 4 fire engines and 30 operational forces were engaged on the ground, without being able to isolate it. 2 firefighting vehicles of the Armed Forces were also dispatched to assist the operational forces.

AKMC reiterates its call to residents to be careful, avoid starting fires, and report fires in a timely manner. /CNA
