Parts of the investigation file for the murder of officer Enea Mekolli during an operation in Lozhan, Korça, have been revealed.

The investigative file states that 34-year-old Mekolli was hit and killed before he could fire his weapon, while the exchange of fire occurred between the perpetrator and other police officers.

The police operation to capture the wanted man, Violand Braçellari, was planned following a complaint from a 32-year-old man who worked as a shepherd for the perpetrator's cattle.

It is reported that before the building where Braçellari was hiding was properly surrounded, the latter started shooting at the police, and as a result, Officer Mekolli was killed and police officer Edison Adri was injured.

After this, Braçellari attempted to run away in the direction below the stables, but as a result of the exchange of fire, he was wounded and caught a few meters below the stables.

Meanwhile, it is said that Mekolli had sustained injuries to his head, neck, ear, chest and leg.
