Albania in the European Defense Mechanism/ Çako shows the benefits

Albania is expected to join the European Civil Protection Mechanism.

The government approved the agreement in principle and the Albanian state will pay a fee every year to have help whenever there are fires or other civil emergencies.

In an interview for the journalist of Euronews Albania, Haki Çako clarified how this mechanism works.

"It is an opportunity that every country needs in the event of a natural disaster, regardless of the power each country has. All member countries, on the basis of the protocol, declare the human and technological resources they have at their disposal at the time of calls to the coordination center", explained Çako.

The final agreement that is expected to be signed in Brussels in September, according to ?akos, will be against a financed obligation of 290 thousand euros per year for Albania, a figure that, as he said, is incalculable for the aid that the country receives. /CNA.al
