The head of the SP group, Taulant Balla, in his speech at the parliamentary session requested that the Draft Law "On the ratification of the accession agreement of the Republic of Albania, represented by Prime Minister Edi Rama, to the Charter of the Peace Board", be passed through an accelerated procedure due to the importance of this initiative.

Balla considered Trump's invitation to Albania historic and that it confirms the strength and mutual trust in Albania's strategic partnership with the US.

"The Assembly is convened to make a decision on a special political and historical invitation that goes beyond the usual order."

This invitation is not something ordinary. In the official letter, President Trump describes this initiative as a historic and major effort, emphasizing the need for a new approach.

Therefore, colleagues, the Peace Board, according to the charter that we will review in committee and then in session, is the appropriate international organization that aims for the stability we need to restore peace and legitimate governance.

The Foreign Minister will make a full presentation of this charter. Let us consider the need for expedited proceedings.
