"Interest in not revealing the truth"/ Kikia: January 21, a dark spot

Journalist Mentor Kikia commented today on the January 21 event, on this 15th anniversary of which there are still calls for justice.

In a television studio, Kikia described it as a dark stain on Albanian politics, which, according to him, showed that it even tramples on the blood of Albanians for its own interests.

Kikia raised suspicions that there is an interest in not revealing the truth about this incident with four victims. 

"We have been watching the same ritual for years now. All the leaders of the Socialist Party, ministers, etc., line up with carnations and do that tradition of homage. The same speeches. I believe that until now, January 21, I do not know what the latest investigation that SPAK has in hand will bring. There is an issue that everyone has been interested in not going to the end. The responsibilities go to those who shot and organized it. The story is immersed in an endless chain of trials and punishments. Three court processes have been conducted. Only the issue of that bullet that was unknown from where it came out and the issue has been investigated to find evidence to find the people who ordered the shooting. A dark stain on politics in Albanian politics, but also on justice in conditions of powerlessness or lack of will to see it through to the end, but also to prove that Albanian politics has also trampled on the blood of Albanians for its interests to go where it has dear", said Kikia. /CNA
