Rain and snow/ ARRSH: Here's how the situation on the road axes looks like

The Albanian Road Authority has announced the situation on road axes due to bad weather with snow.

During the night there was moderate rainfall and snowfall began throughout the northern and southeastern areas of the country. All roads are open and traffic continues normally.

There was snowfall in the Northern Region:

Bajram Curri-Valbonë, Bujan Bridge-Qafë Morinë, Bujan-Qafe Morinë (customs), Sopot-Kerrnaj, Qafe Mejdan -Tropojë-Buçaj, Fierzë-Bajram Curri, Bulqizë-Peshkopi, Kukes-Shishtavec, Kukes-Bushtricë, Kukes-Krumë, Bogë-Theth, Dedaj-Razëm.

In the Central Region

Trau Dajt – Qafë Priskë – Qafë Mollë.

In the Southern Region

Thane-Kapshtica Pass, Qukës-Plloçë Pass, Maliq-Gramsh Border, Korça-Voskopojë, Boboshtica-Dardhe, Ersekë-Leskovik-Tre Urat and in Muzinë.

Contractors with vehicles and workers are on the ground without interruption, cleaning road axes and distributing salt to prevent frost.

ARRSH calls on drivers to exercise increased caution while driving, to be equipped with winter tires and chains when traveling towards roads with the presence of snow./ CNA
