Hope, peace and love/Christmas greetings from politics

Christmas was celebrated this year with solemnity and wide participation of believers in the city of Korça. Holy Mass was held at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, where hundreds of Orthodox believers gathered to celebrate the birth of Christ, a symbol of hope, peace and love among people.

The religious ceremony was led by His Grace, Archbishop Anastasi, who in his speech conveyed messages of peace, coexistence and solidarity, emphasizing the importance of spiritual and family values ??on this holy day for all Christian believers.

During the reception at the Holy Metropolis of Korça, representatives of central and local institutions were also present.

The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi, congratulated Orthodox believers and all Albanians from Korça, describing the city as one of the most frequented destinations during the holidays and emphasizing the messages of peace and brotherhood that Christmas conveys.

"It is a special pleasure to greet all Orthodox believers and all Albanians, as is our custom, from Korça, my hometown where Christmas is actually celebrated more beautifully than anywhere else, perhaps with a little bit of localism, but in truth Korça is the capital of Christmas.

"I am very glad that this year it was attended, as always, but increasingly, by Albanians from all over Albania. Everyone enjoys each other and especially in this period, the entire Albanian society really needs messages like those that Christmas brings for peace and brotherhood among all. Merry Christmas to all Albanians," said Peleshi.

The Mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, also emphasized the symbolism of this holiday, considering Christmas as a moment of reflection and hope for better days, peace, harmony and health in every family.

"Today is a significant day for all Christian believers in Korça and all of Albania. Christmas Day has very powerful symbolism within it. It is not an ordinary day, the birth of Christ symbolizes the birth of hope and faith for better days, for peace, harmony. Therefore, on this very special day, I would like to wish all Christian believers but also all residents of the city and municipality of Korça, a happy Christmas, luck, peace, prosperity and health in your families. Merry Christmas!"

Congratulations were also conveyed by Democratic Party MP, Ledina Alolli, who pointed out the importance of human solidarity and the responsibility that institutions and politics have towards those in need, especially on such holy days.

"On behalf of the Democratic Party but also as a deputy of the Korça district, today from the Holy Metropolis, from this house of God, I convey my best wishes to all Orthodox believers wherever they are in Korça but also throughout Albania. Christmas is an important moment, a celebration that reminds us once again of the values ??that keep Albanian society afloat today, such as family, respect for each other but also solidarity for those who live in poor conditions today. This Christmas, in particular, puts us politicians in such conditions that we should think more about these people, so that our decisions are for their benefit. I take this moment to call on all Albanian politicians to turn their attention today to the needy, to think about them because every decision we make increases civic trust in people even more.
