The project for the return of the former Blloku to a pedestrian zone was presented today, with the support of the global network "WALK 21".
This project is considered a long-awaited development that will delight many residents and citizens of Tirana and will create another fantastic urban space in the heart of the capital.
Present at this presentation, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the project will be functional and aims to expand spaces that prioritize children and the elderly.
Rama said that there is still more to be done in Tirana regarding underground parking.
On this occasion, Rama also made a call to citizens to start thinking about using cars less and walking more.
"Tirana still has more to do for underground parking."
The next step is to hit double parking.
Many people, within a reasonable distance, should start thinking about leaving the car and walking more, which also reduces cardiac problems.
The project will be functional.
"It is important to move forward with the project and expand the spaces that prioritize children and the elderly," Rama said. /CNA
