About 50 agricultural specialists at the Regional Agricultural Extension Agency in Lushnje, as well as agronomists at the local government, were trained about climate change and its consequences in agriculture. Through a questionnaire, the specialists proved their level of knowledge about climate change and its causes, as well as the consequences they produce in agriculture.

Disa nga pasojat që u konstatuan edhe nga diskutimet e specialistëve ishin:

-Ç’organizimi i ciklit biologjik të bimëve.

Ata sollën si shmebuj: a) Çelja e agrumeve në dhjetor; b) Lulëzimi i ullirit në dhjetor; c) Lulëzimi i pemëve të mimozës, sërish në dhjetor.

-Rezistenca e disa dëmtuesve të cilët nuk zhduken gjatë dimrit, si pasojë e temperaturave të larta.

Ata sollën si shembull: a) Flutura e bardhë e domates, e cila zakonisht zhduket në dimër si pasojë e temperaturave të ulëta, por vitet e fundit specialistët thanë se ajo vazhdon të jetë prezente edhe në fund të muajit dhjetor. b) Tenja e domates, një dëmtues që nuk ka qenë prezent në Shqipëri, por që si pasojë e ngrohjes së motit, ka emigruar nga Afrika e Veriut dhe është përshtatur tashmë me kushtet në rajonin tonë.

Ekspertët rekomanduan:

-Kompostimin dhe kapsulimin në kushtet e fermës të mbetjeve bimore dhe blegtorale

-Plugimin e tokës jo në thellësi të madhe

-Zëvendësimin e metodave të ujitjes, nga rrjedhje e lirë në ujitje në formë shiu apo me pika

-Ruajtjen e sipërfaqeve të mbuluara nga bari nëpër pemtore, si mundësi për të ruajtur ujërat nëntokësore

-Consultation with new studies in cases where pests or diseases that have not been detected before and that are resistant to pesticides are observed.

Agricultural specialists called for investment in scientific research to produce new cultivars in vegetables, cereals and fruit trees.
