Engineer Arben Meçe has guaranteed earthquake safety for homes built after 2000.

He said on Erla Mëhilli's show that the constructions after 2000 were designed to withstand earthquakes up to 9 magnitude.

"From the moment we build our design standards are such that they anticipate earthquakes at high levels. According to the seismic regionalization, we have 8 and 9, we are somewhat higher than the earthquake that occurred in Turkey in the project", said the engineer.

Furthermore, Meçe showed the typology of buildings that are considered dangerous.

"From 1985 to 1995, there are many buildings built in violation of the implementation conditions, these buildings are standing but cannot withstand the earthquake. Constructions with silicate bricks are dangerous, constructions that were made without a project and concrete construction, these typologies place before Albania the obligation that the entire structure be analyzed for earthquake risk", he emphasizes./ BA - CNA.al
