"Don't use Albania as cannon fodder"/ Balla responds to Bernie Sanders

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has reacted to the statements of US Senator Bernie Sanders regarding the tourist investment in Zvërnec.

Through a post on the social network X, Sanders writes that over 100,000 Albanian citizens have protested against him and that he represents a case where private interests clash with the public interest.

Following this reaction, Balla responded to the US senator, accusing him of engaging in a disinformation campaign. In a response, Balla wrote that Albania is being used as cannon fodder to target political opponents.

" Do not use Albania as cannon fodder to hit your political opponent. This is a disinformation campaign involving Iran and other malign actors, with anti-Semitic content ," Balla wrote in his response.
