Doctor Ilir Allkja admitted today that he received tips from the family members of patients who went to the hospital to receive services.

Ilir Allkja made this statement while talking about the arrest of the doctor who took bribes and hospitalization due to his serious health condition.

He said on the show "Good Morning Albanians", on "Euronews Albania", that he is neither ashamed nor afraid to admit this.

Also, he said that it is difficult to find doctors who have not received tips during their career.

"It is difficult to find doctors who have not received a tip in their life. I got it, I'm neither ashamed nor afraid. I have received from my people, from cousins, from family members. I remember a conversation 10 years ago with a colleague from Romania.

In Romania, there are 3.2 doctors per 1,000 inhabitants, while Albania has 1 doctor per 1,000 inhabitants, it is scandalous. The doctor tells me that the Minister of Health himself has stated that if people give a tip after the service, take it because you deserve it", he emphasized./ BA - CNA.al
