Massacre in Peqin/ Who will run the high security prison

Florenc Doka has been appointed as the new director of the High Security prison in Peqin.

It is learned that Doka's appointment was signed by the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja. He was introduced by the General Director of Prisons, Admir Abrija.

It is known that Florenc Doka was previously part of the prison systems.

Doka will replace Kamber Hoxha, the former director who was arrested along with 11 other Peqin prison officials after the murder and wounding by Sokol Mjacaj.

We remember that the latter killed Arben Lleshi with a gun and injured Indrit Shaqja.

The serious event happened on December 15, 2023.

Sokol Mjacaj had stayed in prison for a period of 20 days armed with weapons.

The prosecution suspects that Mjacaj moved with a weapon from the indoor premises to the ventilation premises and at the moment he went inside he was not checked, which should be done according to the rules./ CNA
