His mandate ends in 3 days/ US Ambassador: It's nothing in my hand

US Ambassador Yuri Kimka spoke about the end of her mandate as ambassador on January 22.

She said that her departure or not depends on the decision of the President and the Senate, which means that nothing is in her hand.  

Among other things, she said that she does not know when her last day as ambassador to Albania will be.

"I would like to know. Look, normally if you look at the tenure of various American ambassadors that have been here, we're usually here for about three years. But ultimately it depends on the decision of the President because an ambassador is a personal representative of the American President. And, it's also up to our Senate to confirm the nominee. So I have no way of predicting that. All I can say is that I'm here to do a job on behalf of my country and I'll continue to do it until the day the last. And I don't know when that last day is ," declared Kim./ CNA.al
