Richard Grenell, the chief of intelligence in the Trump administration

Richard Grenell, the head of intelligence in the Trump administration and former President Donald Trump's envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia agreement, when the latter was in power, spoke tonight about the US elections.

Grenell said in an interview with Çim Pekka that he believes Trump will win the presidency again, as he claims people are hungry for Trump's economy and foreign policy.

According to him, if Trump were in the White House, there would be no war in Ukraine.

"Of course. Even the Americans believe it. People are hungry for a Trump economy, they want Trump's foreign policy. There would be no war in Ukraine if Trump were in the White House. Let me be blunt. I was ambassador to Germany for 2 years and I specifically dealt with what is called Putin's pipeline, or NordStream. During the Trump administration, we imposed some sanctions on this pipeline. We did not foresee war and big problems in Europe when we imposed sanctions on this pipeline. Trump and I have been criticized for being tough on this. When the Democrats came to the Senate they repealed Trump's sanctions on NordStream and within a few months the war in Ukraine started.

Dhe kundërshtimi i luftës përpara se të vinte Trump president, media thoshte do të shkaktojë luftën e tretë, por në fakt vetëm solli paqen në botë. Arabët dhe izraelitët u bashkuan, nuk do të kishim luftën në Ukrainë. Do të thosha se amerikanët dëshirojnë të rritet ekonomia dhe të vendoset paqja. Mendoj se edhe aleatët tanë të NATO-s këtë dëshirojnë. Aleatët tanë latinë dëshirojnë këtë edhe ata nga Afrika. Unë shpresoj që Trump të kthehet dhe unë do të jem mbështetësi i tij i parë", theksoi ai./ B.A. - CNA.al
