The chairwoman of the SP women's forum in Mat announces her candidacy for

The chairwoman of the Socialist Women's Forum in Mat, Suzana Pasha Hoti, has announced her candidacy as an independent for the municipality of Mat, for the local by-elections.

In a post on social media, Hoti emphasized that the municipality cannot be the property of an individual; it belongs, by its very name, to the community, the Matjans.

She underlines that she believes in the welfare state, in strengthening institutions, and in progressive economic development for all segments of the community.

Full post

I am Suzana Pasha Hoti.

A daughter of Mati with roots, heart, and civic responsibility.

I was born, lived, and contributed to this country, and throughout my life I have never been separated from our beloved Mati and the Matjans.

Because when you are connected in spirit and heart to the land where you were born, to Mati and the Matjans who made history, you cannot abandon them, but stand by them in good and difficult days.

For more than 25 years I have been in public service with love and professionalism serving the Matjanë community.

I have been close to people in concrete work, in representation and in efforts to solve their problems.

For 17 years I have led the socialist women's organization of Mati - a role that has given me the opportunity to listen, understand, and respond to the real needs of the community.

I know how hard it is to work hard and not be heard.

That's why today I'm not just asking for one vote.

I ask for trust.

The belief that a fair, determined and experienced voice can worthily represent the citizens of Mati

I ask each and every one of you to become a real part of a representation for a real and tangible service to the Matjans.

The municipality cannot be the property of an individual; its name itself belongs to the community, the Matjans.

I believe in the welfare state, in strengthening institutions, and in progressive economic development for the benefit of all members of the community.

I supported the reforms undertaken by Prime Minister Edi Rama and the socialist government, because they focused on women, citizens, development, the working person, and the honest professional.

But faith is not unconditional.

Government support should also be reflected in local governance.

In Mat, this support is not felt as it should be, and when I say it, it shows that we need to work harder and involve each and every one of us so that sustainable development is present in every Matjan.

In Matt.

Power is concentrated.

Decision-making is closed.

The voice of structures, women, and contributors is not heard.

In the last elections, hundreds of citizens chose to vote for the Socialist Party – but not for the way it is being governed today in Mat.

They did not reject the SP and European Albania 2030.

And I stand by them, because I believe that a strong party is one that listens to the voices of its members, and improves itself from within.

My documentation is ready.

Although the institutional processes have not yet been closed, my position is clear:

I'm not backing down.

Because the voice of free citizens cannot be withdrawn, cannot be silenced.

The Municipality of Mat is not property.

It is an institution that should serve everyone:

– To mothers who raise their families with dedication,

–Young people who want to build a future here,

– Employees who want to be respected for their work

– Every citizen who demands dignity, transparency and honest development. The time of fear is over. Now is the time for free speech.

Time for free citizens. If you also believe that Mati needs a new voice – with experience, integrity and dedication, stand by me.

Join us for a developed and not abandoned Malta. Malta for all. The time for open, honest and representative governance has come.
