Analyst Mentor Kikia has reacted to the election of Klodjan Braho as head of the Special Prosecution Office. Kikia begins his reaction by congratulating Braho and thanking Altin Dumani.

The latter, the analyst says, paved a path that others will find it easier to follow. He further adds that Dumani was, for the last 3 years, the highest-ranking official to be invited and visited in his office by officials from partner countries. The choice of the head of a justice institution has never been as important as that for the head of SPAK.

In short: Altin Dumani paved a path that others will find easier to follow. He killed fear and reluctance to knock on the scary doors of crime and political and economic power.

Therefore, for the last 3 years he has been the highest official who has been invited and visited in his office by officials from partner countries. During his mandate, SPAK identified with Duman. He was the hero and the sinner, the leader and the great victim.

Klodjan Braho has the same support from his partners, who were in the room the whole time, as a fair "jury".

I liked this statement by Braho: "In my capacity as director, I would give more authority to the section directors... SPAK must mature and create standards. It should no longer matter who becomes the prosecutor and director, but rather have standards."

This is exactly what needs to be done. We are eager for idols and are excellent architects of the cult of the individual. But this harms the functioning of the group and the institution. Because every prosecutor is and should be the "Dumani" of his file.
