Kim clarifies the meeting with Rama/ Puts aside the clash for the head of SPAK

American Ambassador Yuri Kim has extinguished rumors that she met with Prime Minister Edi Rama about the elections for the head of SPAK, a process which is currently underway.

In a social media post, Kim wrote that he had a productive meeting this morning to review historic progress to strengthen defense cooperation.

 "Thank you to Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi and Chief of Defense General Kingji for a productive meeting this morning to review historical progress, to strengthen defense cooperation. 2022 marks the year of the first stable military presence in Albania.

We look forward to working closely with him in 2023 to ensure that training and equipment support meets NATO's needs as well as capability and interoperability requirements. We are also looking forward to "DefenderEurope2023". We are proud to always be side by side", she said. /CNA.al
