The former sex symbol of world cinema competed with the new Eurosceptic political alliance against Mario Draghi.

But the legendary 95-year-old actress Gina Lollobrigida failed to be elected as a deputy in the Italian parliament in the Lazio region, where she was a candidate with Marco Rizzo's Communist Party.

The actress collected just over 1% of votes in the province of Latina, located south of Rome, as well as in the neighboring province of Frosinone, which belong to the Lazio region.
