Today, business entrepreneurs in Pogradec have gathered in the third meeting to oppose the normative act, which forces them to install sewage plants for hotel-tourism entities.

They reason that along the line of the Pogradec lake, the investment was made for the laying of the sewage network, while the whole city has been processing sewage in the collector near the village of Guras for several years.

In these conditions, for them this is an unnecessary cost, which does not give any positive impact, but only damages the business.

"This meeting with representatives of the city's businesses was organized as a result of the government penalizing us for not installing waste water filtration equipment. We have discussed this problem from the beginning, not to oppose the government's initiative, but because in our city we can say that it is solved with the installation of the collector that the city has. Its capacities withstand the flow even in the peak of the season, but what we propose is to give a real solution to the problem, consulting with experts. We say that by deciding the way the government is, there is no solution for our city.

A large part of businesses have been penalized, but this is not a solution to the problem. We decided to inform the ministry once again about the problem in order not to install these devices. The equipment is in very high numbers and harms the business, if the businesses that are 5% of the city put it, the other 95% will still have it as a problem. The businesses have agreed not to install these devices, and if it has to be installed, then we will definitely close the businesses," says a businessman.

Within this week, many of the businesses have received fines that exceed 20 million ALL, as they have not respected this normative act. Meanwhile, in today's meeting, they requested that a representative of theirs meet with the prime minister and the relevant minister.

"30% of the participants here have received fines, one of them is me, with a fine of 24 million old lek. We do not see it as reasonable to set up a plant, it will be devastating for the city that the entire line of the lake where we have businesses have pits Even if we pay it, we will not pay it. The facilities are based on 15,000 euros, while for a hotel like mine, we will not be able to afford them Minister Balluku, the Assembly, Prime Minister Rama, the Municipality of Pogradec", declared a businessman.

"We are a few small businesses and they come and tell us to put up a plant. I have 30 square meters, where do I put it? Pogradeci is seasonal, everyone works for 2 months," emphasized another.
