Arrest of Meta/SPAK: Investigations continue, suspicions of other persons

SPAK ordered the arrest of the head of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta, who the day before was put in handcuffs on charges of corruption, concealment of wealth and money laundering for a series of files that have been investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office.

SPAK in its official announcement emphasized that investigations will continue on this matter.

The Special Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that there are suspicions about other persons involved in this criminal activity.

Also, another detail revealed by SPAK is that the investigations were carried out in cooperation with the law enforcement authorities of the United States of America, Austria, Italy, San Marino, Cyprus.
