People's Advocate Race/ Former Minister Who Could Take the Position Revealed

Two days ago, the Albanian Parliament officially opened the competition for the position of Ombudsman.

Candidates and possible names for this position have been constantly discussed recently, as this position is currently held by Erinda Ballanca.

As reported by Weblajm, one name in the open competition on October 13 is Etilda Gjonaj.

Gjonaj was previously the former Minister of Justice.

So far, there has been no official announcement of a name from the majority.

As for other names, from the opposition, the Democratic Party and Democrat leader Sali Berisha have declared support for Besim Ndregjoni's candidacy. 

Also, a possible name is former MP Dashnor Sula, who left the DP after being left out of the closed list in the May 11 elections./CNA
